The ez-duz-it by elliott line consist of handbags,belts,pendants and a collection of mixed media modern art wall collages.all of my products are eco friendly, i use recycled,reused or repurposed materials 2 create my handmade collections.i am a proud licensee of the united states postal service ,so many of the images i use are from vintage and current stamp images ..... In 1972 i received a full scholarship 2 play football @ the university of texas @el paso.4 years later i graduated with a degree in business.i then went to work in the dallas area 4 a major retailer in there executive development program.while there 2 major revelations came 2 me.#1 i loved the business of fashion and #2 ,like Sinatra, i wanted 2 do it my way. so in 1980,armed with only a 500.00 tax refund check and a prayer(actually many prayers)i launched my own company...... As a child growing up in the mississippi delta,creative resources were limited,so just like the famous blues artist of the delta,i learned 2 improvise. i have always been compelled 2 create! "it's like a fire shut up in my bones",so i would ramble and scour my neighborhood 4 unique found objects that i could artfully re-create.4 xample,for mothers day when most kids were giving there mom's drug store cards,i gave my moms a piece of aged drift wood that i lovingly wrapped with wild flowers and this amazing oxidized sun bleached wire.the wood i found fishing,the wire i discovered in my grandfathers wood shed, and the flowers..that was the easy part ,cuz,truth b told.. in my hood down south..we had more wild flowers than we had green grass,so many people saw them as weeds,i saw them as just one of the many boutiful gifts..that nature offers 2 us free of charge EVERYDAY.. the ability 2 see treasure in what others see as trash or trouble ,has been my faithful companion ...in this journey of JOY...that i call ...LIFE I 've been married 4 over 24 years,now thats pretty good ,even if it took 6 different wives 2 do it...ONLY KIDDING!:)...only kidding:)...In 1984 my life would change as i knew it.i met a lady named Vanessa,a fashion model,whose beauty,charm and business savvy transformed the pattern of my life(BEERS,BARS AND BUDDIES).we married shortly after we met ,and as they say down south,"wee's still togever".i believe my gifts and talents are a DIVINE ANNOINTING.like musicians who play by ear i've never received any formal design training.yet, over the years ,i have successfullly designed everything from key rings 2 clothes.i believe this gift was given 2 me ,so that i can be a light in this world 4 peace,4 love,4 joy..4 happiness.... The ez-duz it by elliott collection can b found in better boutiques,airports and museum stores from coast 2 coast.i am honored 2 have been chosen 2 create special collections 4 some of our countries leading museums,among them are the Newseum in washiinton d.c. and the California Academy of Sciences located in san francisco.....
